You'll always be my Valentine

Leave it to Paisley to go through my scrap paper and
get every detail ready for the current Holiday~
Zeke is my last baby in Elementary School, my last baby to decorate a Valentine box and make class Valentines. He had the idea to do a large building and cover it with monkeys~ perhaps a little King Kong style? I'm not sure if he has even seen that. But that was his vision, and by golly, I will help him succeed! We found Valentine monkeys at the dollar store. Score!

He used Adren's animated monkey he got from a friend to sit proudly on top.
He came up with the idea to tape candy bracelets to a poster and make the kids come to him. Sounds like it worked out great! Funny kid.
The kids woke to a kitchen of LOVE

I decided this year I'd make Scotcheroo's. Nothing to do with Valetines Day, I just was in the mood for them. I was a little surprised the absence of pink sugar cookies wasn't even mentioned until we were getting ready for bed! Maybe we all just needed a break?

And of course we ended the evening with a dinner full of love!
Adren had to work, but he got some dinner love when he came home!
Speaking of Adren, I took this to show him that although I thoroughly support him growing out his luscious hair, the back was needing a little clean-up. Grooming is always needed, especially when growing out. I took him and Eli for clean ups and you'd think they were being sent to death row. Have I scarred my boys from haircuts?

Speaking of love month~ I painted the kitchen nook the most gorgeous dusty rose. It helped warm up the area and looks so lovely in all phases of light throughout the day.

I am so in love with tinkering around the house, moving things here and there, adding some art work and just polishing up areas. This is my heaven on earth.

Me soooo happy.

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
