An end of a school year...

What a great school year. Adren and Eli got to spend the year at Dixon Middle School together. Paisley and Zeke had great 3rd and 5th years. Right now at the Elementary there is a "color your hair bright colors fad" going on. Zeke was all over that.
When he told me he wanted to do it, I said, "Hmmmm.... I don't know about that." He then said, "Well since I am the boss of my body, I think I should make that decision." I thought in this circumstance, he was right.
I love this selfie.

He wanted to see how much was left on Sunday.

Bright!
Paisley got on board, although wanted it much more subtle.

My girls got a hold of my phone again. Two of these three are graduating, so it's a sweet pic for me.
Sadie, Sienna, Josilyn

I texted this out to all my Laurels right before graduation:

And then just like that, it was Paisley and Zeke's last day of school!

And then Adren and Pedro's:
Blast off to High School!
(Eli must have run off, eager for the last day to end!)

And now the fun and games of summer have started!

Pedro got braces:

With all the bare feet and running around again there are plenty of stubbed toes and slivers. Paisley came in whimpering about a sliver from the deck. Not to be too disturbing, but I tugged and tugged at that for the longest time, it would not budge! I finally had to do a little surgery and slice the hole a little bigger to get a better grip of the head. I could not believe what came out. Poor dear.
Yeah.
She cheered up soon enough.

I love getting the yard spruced up for summer. What a gorgeous late spring night!

I hunted for some black and white outdoor pillows with no luck.
I finally made my own fabric design.
I like how they turned out!

Cute, eh?
Now we have these delicious lazy evenings together.
My goal is for the kids to take over all my responsibilities. Looks like I can check off trimming Jon's hair off my list.

It was so lovely to meet up with the Woolf family up at the SLC Cemetery for lunch and catching up.

And then another gathering in Provo with the Taylor group for a tour of Daddy's side and stories for the younger generation to learn.

Summer is here!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
