A fresh New Year!

Ashley gave me the book "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up". It really lit a fire under me to get rid of stuff that is making unnecessary work and messes!

That van was bulging. It felt sooo good driving away from D.I. after the unload. Very refreshing!

Paisley's favorite thing to do is to go out just the two of us and walk the mall, get a treat, or even be home together and watch a show. It's sweet that she is always suggesting we spend time together, or reminds me if it's been too long since we've last gone out. It's one of my favorite things, too!
I love spending time with my fun ward pals about once a month to celebrate someones birthday. This month the birthday gal gave us a fun gift so I texted her the next morning as I was enjoying them.
Paisley has since taken over them and wears them all the time.
Quick date night to the Provo Temple with Jonny. We are looking forward to the new Provo City Center Temple opening soon!
Eli asked if I'd come along for his 5th grade Field Trip to the BYU Museum of Art. His teacher, Mr. Arney emailed me saying there wasn't enough room on the bus so I could either pass or drive him myself. I knew he'd love to be driven separately~ as well as leave school a little early before the Field Trip for some lunch at Kneaders. I was right!
Then he looked all handsome and adorable for church. Eli is so great!
Here he is at his scout camp out, his leader sent this to me.
This month has been so cold and foggy/smoggy! We wake up and can barely see anything around us.

Can you see pajama'd Zeke? The two of us were the first up and ran outside to take in the fog early before school.
To get out of the house and gunk I took the kids to Provo Rec to burn off some energy. Adren doesn't love indoor pools, so while the others swam we played pool. I was showing him how it's done, until a group of old men came along to play next to us. One had owned a pool hall his whole life and showed us all sorts of tricks.
I came home one evening to find some of my YW girls had decorated my door. They like me! They really like me. I thought that was sweet.

The best big news is baby Solomon Randall is here! Violet, Ivy and Cal all slept over the night before and we were so excited to hear the big news from Cade the next morning. The whole way over to the hospital Cal kept singing "Happy Birthday" softly to his new brother. So precious!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
