Spring Break 2015, Oh Yeah!

Boy was I ready for a little break by the time this rolled around, so for sure the kids were giddy. A little break from early morning rush, late night homework reminders, making school lunch and early breakfast. The kids really just wanted to sleep in and play with friends!
The Paisley and Esme combo, going strong.
We checked out the new Aquarium in Draper. Wow. (the kids sure look rag-tag by spring)
I was trying to not be disturbed the rest of the time by the Goliath tarantula I should not have taken a gander at in it's case. I could feel a scream in my throat trying to escape. I even dreamed (nightmared) about it that night. Yimma himma.
This was pretty fun, although I am remembering reaching my snapping point with Adren during the shark exhibit. (sigh) Between that and that dern spider my memories aren't so endeared.
We got a head start on cleaning up the yard and finally saying good~bye to the ol' trampoline. It served us well. It sort of got taken apart bit by bit over the years- the pads covering the springs lasted about 4 minutes, the net got shredded piece by piece and went next, then the poles, then it started tearing in places and could not be saved. It sure provided hours and hours of exercise, trix and games as well as many a sleep out and star gazing.
Love this of Zeke working side by side with his Dad. The kids rigged the last of the trampoline into a teeter-totter/ catapult of sorts. One would stand on a curved end while the other would pounce on the other end and send them flying.
Another day we headed up to the Hogle Zoo. I think we've skipped this the past couple of years so it was a treat to see all the new construction completed. I really like the zoo! I think every other year is perfect.

This is the biggest turtle I've ever seen. Huge.

Classic shot of the vintage drinking fountain.

Cutest shot ever taken in the history of taking.

This sea lion exhibit is really neat. I loved watching them swim and that crystal blue water looked so refreshing I wanted to join in.

There were plenty of late nights, night games with the neighborhood gang and sleeping downstairs- a super exciting, special treat for some reason.
Paisley made this cute newspaper dress at Activity Days. I love that she loves it so much and is having so much fun going.
I'm still loving Young Women's. I love teaching, I love mutual, I love all the youth in our ward, they have been so fun to get to know. One night the Priests were supposed to make the Laurels dinner. When we gathered after opening exercises their response was~ "Oh, was that tonight?" The bishop talked to them a little about following through with your date~ and then saved the night by whisking us away- BACK to where he'd just spent a full day of work- to the new RC Willey open house at University Mall. There was oodles and oodles of all kinds of food, we were serenaded by a Mariachi band, played fooze ball, got free insulated water bottles and this picture to prove it all went down. Can you tell I'm lovin' it?
