Thanksgiving!

Clear back in summer I thought it would be fun to go to Elko for the big day. The Goulding's are coming out here for everything, and I thought it would be fun to go to them this year. Most everyone was able to make it. The Whitmore's stayed home and hosted Granny and Grandpa while the rest of us discussed the menu, packed and loaded up mini vans and joined the caravan of love.
Sadie, always the wonderful hostess (and Brent!) had arranged with some friends to let us stay in their home! How nice is that! So the Geertsens, Taylors and Taylors set up sleeping bags on the family room floor for all the crazy boys. The cousins were so excited! Us adults were able to go out to dinner the first night, which was so lovely and just a real treat!
Thanksgiving dinner tasted so scrumptious~ seriously, is there ever a meal that tastes better?

 
 It was so fun to all be together. Afterwards the gals headed out for some Black Friday shopping and chatting until late.
The next day we headed back home while Sadie re-vamped the entire guest room before the family arrived back home! It turned out so great!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

 Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on.
