Eli's job is setting and waking up to the alarm, and then waking Adren. He jumps right up, so happy and excited! He then wakes up Adren, they shower and dress and at this point I get breakfast going. On the first day I couldn't resist making Eli's favorite~ Bird in a Nest~ he was bursting, he was so excited!
Adren is one to drag a little, so it's nice having Elie get ready with him because it speeds him up. He's been letting Eli know everything to expect this year in first grade.
Such cuties!
Gotta do the photo in front of the crazy bushes~ I was a little worried Eli's bubble would be burst, because he just couldn't stand it, he was so excited! His teacher is so sweet, he has one or two kids in his class from last year, so I was hoping lunch time would be fun. He is so good at memorizing his lunch code, and was SO ready! When I picked him up that first day, he was even more excited! He says school is so fun, he just can't wait until the next day! Yay! He tells me in detail about getting his lunch, where he puts his backpack, the classroom rules, and I hang on every word!
Adren was so excited to see his best friend who, thankfully, is in his class again. He'd missed him all summer. This is his teachers first year of teaching, so it will be an extra special year. She is very sweet, and he's very excited to have her.
I am so glad these two have eachother! My biggest worry is that one of them has to sit alone at lunch~ but no worries. They have plenty of friends and even sit together with their group most days, then start a soccer game out in the field during recess afterwards. I love that! Eli told me when it was time to get in the first and second grade lines to go back inside, his line was next to Adren and he started crying a little because he wanted to be in Adren's line. But he said he wasn't very sad, he just loves Adren a lot and it made him cry. Adren heard all of this and gave him a big hug. They are going to have a great year!
With the boys at school and Paisley off playing with a friend, this is the first little Zeke has the house to himself. We read, pull out the play-dough, put beans in different cups etc. His time will come soon enough.
