Hooray for school being out, sleeping in, and playing all day! Truth be told, our summer started out a little slow. It was real wet and rainy so it didn't feel like it should. I bumped up the boys daily chores, (which
really is not much) and it took a couple of weeks for them to realize they really cannot play until they are done. Meanwhile I've got friends knocking on the door telling them to hurry up and clean up their room already. Jeez! I found myself wanting to pull my hair out by June 3rd.
Luckily we a part of this little tradition of hanging out at the Lloyd's for the Orem Day's festivities. We hit the fair~ which was a perfect evening all around crowd wise and weather wise.
Zeke is such a big boy, insisting on doing every little thing the big kids do!

Dev and I had run up to IKEA earlier that day to spruce up her back patio for the BBQ and friends. I wish I got a better shot of how cute it looked. She found this cute fabric and some colorful light fixtures she strung under the roof. It looked so festive and summery!

Don't worry, things turned around and we got our system down, and all has been good. We've gone on bike rides down to the Frozen Frog for shaved ice, visits to the library, the BYU art museum, the Bean Museum, the local swimming pool, roasted marshmellows in the canyon, lot's of sleeping out on the trampoline, biked the flooded river trail and lots and lots of friends.
