Paisley Elaine turns DOUBLE DIGITS!

This sweet girl drums up quite the agenda when her birthday is on the horizon. I could tell it was on her brain all day as she'd out of the blue say, "Mom, I'd like a tea party." and then 45 minutes later, "Mom, I'd like to introduce each girl and tell everyone how long we've been friends." I knew that if I just planned what I could plan, it would fulfill her dreams. Without even realizing it was a part of her dream.
Paisley woke to the spectacular array of gifts!
 She's really TEN!
She had lots of requests on how she wanted her cake. I told her it's always fun to just be surprised. She loves donuts, she's turning ten, so her you go:
Surprise!!!
In her little gift bag was Kit-Kats to give out to her class. As per request.
After school I had things ready to go for her little friend party. Balloons on the porch welcomed the girls (and let parents know they were indeed at the correct house)
Paisley's favorite goodies were set out for munching: Peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches, peanut butter oatmeal chocolate no bakes, and Christmas fudge.
The girls decorated inside frames with their initials or name, with plenty of fabric options and craft items to make it fab.
They turned out cute and it was a hit!
We played games about Paisley's favorite things, we played the Tray game, (one of her favorites) and watched Studio C (also a fave).
We ended the fun with a Pinata~ I even found one with an emoji face!

Great time had by all!
That evening the Whitmore's and granparents were kind and came over to join in the cutting of the cake. That always makes it extra jolly.
This pic was taken just as Grandma and Grandpa Geertsen walked in the door.
The next week I was able to volunteer to go on Paisley's school field trip to Thanksgiving Point. I have to appreciate how excited she is to have me there, and her friends hugging me and holding my hand. These are sweet years and I cherish my time with Paisley Elaine.
We sure love our sweet Paisley girl!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
